NAS 1874-1898 Trays
NAS 1874-1898: NAS 1874-1898 are a series of aerospace industry standard developed to define the tray requirements for military aircraft, similar to the ARINC 404A trays used on commercial aircraft. The individual standards are limited to a given tray’s ATR size; i.e., ¼ -1, along with the additional plates and seals commonly used with these trays in their upper level assemblies.
- Fabricated to maintain tight tolerances for rigidity assuring positive connector mating to reduce unconfirmed removals.
- Material is 6061-T heat treated aluminum (U.S.) or aluminum alloy B.S.L81 and B.S.L.113 (U.K.).
- Finish is chemfilm IAW MIL-C-5541, CL 3, (U.S.) or alocromed (U.K.) for electrical conductivity.
- Optional retention mechanisms to MS14108 or M85731.
- Optional side seal to prevent leakage between trays on cooled shelves.
- Variations to standard trays are available.
- Vibration isolators with grounding straps to suit application’s dynamic environment available.
NOTE: Although this standard is no longer supported for new designs, replacement trays can be made to order based on customer existing tray.
